Sunset
Frances Larkin and her family moved to the Outer Sunset beach community when she was an infant, before the Great Highway was built in 1929, and she lived there at the edge of the city her entire life. She remembers her childhood, “romping and rolling in the sand dunes, swimming in the ocean …. roller skating to Playland, around the Cliff House and Sutro Baths. … Things have changed but I’ve always stayed here. I can’t give up my ocean view.”
