Polk Gulch

Byron Hunt, born in 1905 in Eugene, Ore., settled in San Francisco in the 1920s and during the Depression became a weaver for the Federal Art Project, part of the WPA. He had a studio in the Goodman Building, a live/work space on Geary on Cathedral Hill.
